he is simply the greatest human we've ever encountered.

Aaaand we’re back!
I was sitting at dinner tonight thinking about how I have neglected my poor BabyRocks since my last trip to California, and it dawned on me that I only have a week and a half until leave for California again, for Christmas, just next Friday!
The holidays are always so fun filled, but it’s making me busier than ever. Catching up with friends who I didn’t see for nearly a month, participating in all sorts of fall festivities, shopping, spending time with my little family, and getting ready for our first Christmas as Three, has consumed an awful lot of time. And by the time the tot is tucked in and HB and I have had the night to ourselves until he finally passes out, finding the motivation to get up and play catch up is just not that appealing. So I stay cuddled into my sleeping husband and press play on another DVR’d SATC episode until I’m ready to pass out, too.
It’s funny though because although it appears that I have completely forgotten about this little site, in my head I still write a post every single day. I tak pictures of my baby during our afternoons, sometimes even just mental ones, and think, this will make a great post. I come up with some banter or one-liner to caption it, and presto! Post done. I make a note to do it for real later, but somehow it gets catalogued as complete in my mind and it never comes to fruition, yet I have the illusion I’m keeping up on it. And then it hits me that I haven’t posted in three days, four days, a week, three weeks, and suddenly all these events and milestones are piling up and I think well I can’t post about this before posting about that. And so it gets put off until tomorrow again when I have time. I look at my last post and then at the reality around me, and I think how wild it is that it seems like a different lifetime, so much has changed already in that short time.
But since life is moving faster than I can keep up with, and obviously faster than I can recap on in a reasonable time, I’m going to press forward, and do my best to post flashback highlights, because there’s so many amazing things that really has happened.
